Outreach Programme
The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) conducted a one-day outreach programme for the students of Government VHSC, Kallara, focusing on a hands-on workshop on extension board making and simple domestic wiring. The programme aimed to enhance practical knowledge and awareness of basic electrical components, wiring practices, and safety precautions used in domestic applications. Faculty members and student volunteers provided demonstrations and guided the participants through practical sessions, enabling them to actively engage in assembling an extension board and understanding basic wiring connections. The programme was well received and successfully contributed to improving the students’ practical skills and interest in electrical engineering concepts
Social outreach Programme on Extension Board making

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), Mohandas College of Engineering and Technology, in collaboration with Eterja and SKV Higher Secondary School, Nanniyode, organized a Social Outreach Programme as part of its community engagement.
The programme featured a hands-on workshop on extension board making, domestic wiring, and basic electrical machines, along with demonstrations on insulator testing and relay testing. 45 science stream students actively participated.
The workshop aimed to provide practical exposure to wiring and safety measures, helping students build technical skills and confidence. Participants also learned to design and assemble functional extension boards while understanding the importance of electrical safety.
The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) of Mohandas College of Engineering and Technology in association with Eterja and Amritha Kairali Higher Secondary School, Nedumangad, organized a Social Outreach Programme as part of its community engagement initiatives.
The programme included a hands-on workshop on Extension Board Making, conducted for the students of the Science batch. A total of 31 students actively participated in the session.
The workshop aimed to provide students with practical exposure to basic electrical wiring and safety measures, thereby enhancing their technical skills and confidence. The interactive session enabled the participants to understand the importance of electrical safety while equipping them with the knowledge to design and assemble a functional extension board.
The event was well-received by the students and faculty of the school. It not only enriched the participants with valuable technical skills but also strengthened the bond between the institution and the community through knowledge-sharing initiatives.
