Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC)

Mohandas College of Engineering and Technology (MCET), Anad, has been honoured with the Minister’s Excellence Award at Excellencia 2025, the prestigious two-day conclave celebrating quality in higher education in Kerala. The award was received by Dr. V. Suresh Babu, Principal of MCET, from Higher Education and Social Justice Minister Dr. R. Bindu during the inaugural ceremony held at Tagore Theatre, Thiruvananthapuram.

Excellencia 2025, organised by the State Level Quality Assurance Cell (SLQAC Kerala) under the Department of Higher Education, is a flagship initiative aimed at fostering innovation, accountability, and a robust culture of quality in the higher education sector. The conclave brings together more than 1,000 delegates, including vice-chancellors, principals, registrars, faculty members, and academic leaders from across the state.

The event also featured a keynote address by NAAC Advisor Devendra Kawade, and included a series of academic sessions, workshops, and strategic discussions on enhancing institutional quality and performance.

The second day of the event, held on September 16, featured the release of the Annual Action Plan for IQAC Coordinators at Girideepam Auditorium, along with a State-level workshop for IQAC coordinators and directors focusing on quality enhancement strategies and policy implementation.
