The Laboratories are equipped with various Instruments like Colorimeters, UV-VIS spectrophotometers, pH meters, Chromatographic apparatus, Analytical balance, Water bath, Vortex mixer Electrophoretic apparatus. For Bioinformatics lab 30 computers with a printers, 3D structure viewers like RASMOL. The Lab is equipped with computer controlled Bioreactor (3L), Autoclaves (Horizontal & Vertical), UV visible spectrophotometer, Photo flurometer, Bacteriological incubator, Orbital shaker, BOD-incubator, Refrigerator, Hot air oven, Electronic Balance, Water bath and pH meter. Experiments include Media preparation, optimization and sterilization; Study of Thermal death kinetics, Growth kinetics (Monod parameters) of microorganisms; Batch, Fed batch And Continuous Flow Reactor Analysis, Residence Time Distribution; Determination of Mixing time, Power number, Volumetric mass transfer Coefficient; Immobilization; Production and characterization of wine.

The Downstream processing lab is equipped with electrophoresis unit, ultra sonicator, deadend filtration unit, spectrophotometer, centrifuge, refrigerated centrifuge, cross flow filtration unit, electronic balance, vortex shaker, autoclave. The Heat & Mass transfer lab equipped with experimental setups such as solid liquid extraction, double pipe heat exchanger, emissivity apparatus, vertical and horizontal condenser, simple steam distillation, liquid-liquid extraction in packed bed column, thermal conductivity of metal rod, batch rectification in a sieve plate distillation column, forced draft tray drier, forced convection apparatus, natural convection apparatus, thermal conductivity of liquids, vapor liquid equilibrium, heat transfer through lagged pipe, shell and tube heat exchanger, batch crystallizer, mass transfer in wetted wall column, simple distillation, heat transfer in agitated vessel, vertical and horizontal condenser. The Enzyme Engineering Technology lab gives the students practical exposure to enzyme handling techniques. They are made aware of the need for enzyme immobilization. The lab is equipped with latest centrifuges including cooling centrifuge, thermostatic water baths, colorimeters, PH meters, desiccators, magnetic stirrers & domestic mixers. The lab provides all facilities to do enzyme assays. The effect of temperature, PH, substrate concentration & inhibitor on enzyme activity can be studied.
