MoU with C-DAC (T)

The department hasan MoU with C-DAC (T) – Centre for Development of Advanced Computing, Thiruvananthapuram, which formally express the mutual aspiration of MCET and C-DAC to associate in Software Technologies, CloudComputing, IoT ( Internet of Things), GIS Technology, Knowledge Management initiatives, Collaborative teaching, Research and Development, Collaboration in R&D projects, support for setting up of advanced facilities in advanced areas asper the needs of the department, organizing joint conferences, joint projects, training programmes for teachers and students and support for student projects.

CISCO Networking Academy

We have also established CISCO Networking Academy in the college. The Academy is setup as an authorized training centre offering specialized industry-oriented skill-based education in CISCO Networking Technology. The Students are being given training on CISCO networking as a regular programme. Selected faculty members are trained and certified at the CISCO’s regional academies in Hyderabad, Chennai, Bangalore and Coimbatore. These CISCO Certified Instructors are authorized and equipped to give the CISCO’s stipulated training at the MCET’s CISCO Networking Academy.

The CISCO Networking Academy programme provides skills to students to work worldwide in network and IT fields. MCET Signed an agreement with CISCO and started the Academy in the year 2008. We have a full-fledged Lab with 14 CISCO Routers, 14 CISCO Switches, Wireless Access points, structured cabling system, testing tools, simulators etc. We have five CISCO certified instructors who are qualified to impart industry certified training. Training is given to 60 students every year which increases their employability in the networking industry.

ED Cell Activities – 8th April 2018

Official inauguration of the company “Hello Infinity Business Solutions” ( a start up incubated in the ED cell of Mohandas College of Engineering & Technology, TVM) on 08/04/2018 at Austin, Texas, USA.
