This two day national level technical symposium conducted every year for the undergraduate students of Biotechnology, Computer Science, Information Technology ,Electrical and Electronics,Electronics & Communication and Mechanical Engineering and post graduate students of Computer Science, Electrical and Electronics and Electronics & Communication and MCA provides a platform for the students of the engineering fraternity for exchange of their ideas and information to keep abreast of the current developments. The overall objective of this mega event is to bring together the expertise and showcase the talents of the students in various disciplines. Technical paper presentations for all the above disciplines are conducted in parallel sessions. Other competitions like Hardware debugging, Technical Quiz, Software Debugging, Network Games, Project Contest, Business Idea Presentation, Poster Presentation, Web Design, Engineering Problems, Line Follower (Robots), Documentary Competition,etc to evaluate the general talents of the students are conducted in connection with this two-day programme. Students from leading technical educational institutions and Universities covering a wide geographical designation across the country participate in this programme.
COLLOQUIUM 2022
The Vicennial (20 years of Excellence) celebrations of Mohandas College of Engineering and Technology were inaugurated at 10.30am on 27/05/2022 by Hon. Minister Adv. G. R. Anil (Minister of Food and Civil Supplies, Government of Kerala). The logo of 20th year celebration was also released. The inauguration of COLLOQUIUM 2022, ILLUMINATI 2022 and PRITHVI – MIM FEST 1.0 was done by Shri. Shankar Ramakrishnan (Actor, Director, Script Writer) and Shri. Krishand (Director, Kerala State Award Winner, IFFK Award Winner) on the same day. The proceedings and CD of Colloquium 2022 were released by Shankar Ramakrishnan handing over a copy to the Chairman Shri. G. Mohandas. Hon. Minister Adv. G. R. Anil distributed free laptops (APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University Scheme) to the eligible students. Dr. Ashalatha Thampuran (Director, MCET) presided over the function. Dr. S. Sheela (Principal, MCET) delivered the welcome speech. The function was felicitated by Shri. G. Mohandas (Chairman, MCET) and Smt. Rani Mohandas (Secretary, VNGP Trust). They honoured the chief guests by adorning ponnada and giving memento. Brahmasri Sookshmananda Swamikal also felicitated the function. Shri. Krishna Mohan (Treasurer, VNGP Trust) distributed awards to faculty members and students for their selfless contributions and achievements. Prof. Lekshmi M Nair (Faculty Advisor, Student Council) and Ms. Babitha Fazil (Secretary, Colloquium 2022) felicitated the occasion. Mr. Gautham Joy (Chairman, Student Council) delivered the vote of thanks. The students from various professional colleges participated in the events like ACME & Prabanth (Paper Presentation), Choreo Night, Mr. & Miss. Illuminati, Treasure Hunt, Magister, Quizzing Cameos etc. The Fest concluded on 28/05/2022 with the live musical performance of Shri. Job Kurian.
Colloquium -19, the National Educational Seminar was conducted in Mohandas College of Engineering & Technology on 3rd May 2019
It was inaugurated by Dr. Rajasree M.S ( Vice Chancellor, KTU ) followed by the inaugural address. Dr. K N Nainan ( Former Deputy Director, VSSC ) delivered the key note address. CD’s and proceedings of Colloquium were released by Dr. Rajasree M.S by handing over one copy to Dr. Ashalatha Thampuran . CD’s and proceedings of Prabandh were released by Dr. K N Nainan by handing over one copy to Dr. S Sheela. MCET newsletter was released by Dr. Rajasree M.S by handing over one copy to Dr. S Sheela . Dr. S Sheela ( Principal MCET ) welcomed the chief guest and the audience. Dr. Ashalatha Thampuran ( Director MCET) delivered the presidential address. Mr. Abhiram (Colloquium Students Secretary)) extended the vote of thanks. The inaugural function was followed by other technical events which was attended by students from other institutes.
