The Inauguration of Indian Society for Non-Destructive Testing (ISNT) Student Chapter of MCET was held on 12th January (Friday), 2018 at the ME Seminar Hall. Inaugural address was given by Shri G. Levin, Chairman, ISNT Thiruvananthapuram Chapter. Dr. Ashalatha Thampuran, Director, MCET, Tvm gave the presidential address. Dr. B Sivasubramonian HOD, ME department delivered the welcome address. Shri M. Arumugam, Vice chairman, ISNT Tvm chapter discussed about the chapter. Dr. Shobha Manackal, Actg. principal, MCET, Tvm addressed the gathering. The inauguration included distribution of certificate to students. Shri Amal Nizar student coordinator delivered the vote of thanks . MCET became the first private self financing institution to be associated with the ISNT chapter.
Department of Mechanical Engineering started the Student chapter of Institution of Engineers India at Mohandas College of Engineering & Technology , Anad on 20th March 2018. Sri Rajkumar, Chairman, IEI Kerala State Centre inaugurated the chapter. Dr Aashalatha Thampuran, Director, MCET, Dr B Sivasubramonian,HOD (Mechanical), Sri Ashok Kumar, Member, IEI Kerala State Centre spoke on the occasion. Prof S Harikrishnan Nair, Coordinator, student Chapter felicitated the opening function and Sri Amal M Student member delivered the vote of thanks.
